Acupuncture provides effective, drug-free alternative for pain relief

Chronic pain can cast a long shadow over everyday life and become an all-consuming thief of its simplest pleasures. It may be difficult to lead a normal lifestyle without depending upon medication just to make it through the day.

Thankfully, acupuncture provides a powerful new option to treat your chronic pain on a stand-alone basis or as part of a broader wellness treatment plan. This pain-free resource provides fast relief without the side effects or addictive qualities of narcotics.

Acupuncture has been around for centuries as a form of traditional Chinese medicine but has grown in popularity in recent decades, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It’s most commonly used to treat back, joint, or neck pain during sessions that last between 20 and 60 minutes.

Treatment is not painful and involves the insertion of fine, almost hair-like needles into the skin. The needles are either manually manipulated or stimulated with small electrical currents, using a treatment technique known as electroacupuncture. Patients can be confident that acupuncture is a safe treatment option when it’s administered by a trained professional using sterile, FDA-regulated needles and equipment in a clean office setting.

Our plan includes Medicare-covered acupuncture benefits. These plans provide multiple sessions to treat conditions that may be keeping you from living your best life.
